First Impressions of our last visit to Darewadi. The village is located 35km south of Pune, Maharashtra, India. In 2012 we started a campaign to raise funds for an Ecosanitation Project in this village. By now 35 „drytoilets“ have been built in order to reduce the open defecation rate. The benefiting farmers save water, produce their own fertilizer and improve their overall living standards. Sven Riesbeck, one of the founders of this project gives us a brief update of the current situation in Darewadi – but there is more to come!
